I hear that resentment is what will steal our sobriety more than anything else.

That we can become selfless, honest and unafraid, but if resentment lingers, it can grow and feed an empty space in us with anger, unhealthy feelings, which is likely to drive us to drink.  As alcoholics, we are susceptible.  R talked to me last night about resentment.  The reading last night at our book study was from page 86, and coincidentally (!) that is my absolute favorite part thus far.

Back to resentment though- from page 65, about resentment (holding a “grudge”)… “Was it our self esteem, our security, our ambitions, our personal or sex relations, which had been interfered with?”

I’m having a really hard time today “letting go” of J’s treatment of me.  Really hard.
